In San Francisco, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Long lines and limited seating. I got the Salt bread which had good texture but I thought the taste was just ok. My husband really liked the the Ube and the strawberry cookie. Coffees were ok too. It wasn't bad, I just don't think it was worth standing there for over half an hour to try it.

I was really with high hopes. The pandan latte was good. The guava pillow was very underwhelming. We did try their morning bun and the blue corn cookies and those were all great. I think if they would throw out the dead flowers and be a little more attentive the experience may had been better.

5 stars for: β’ innovative coffee and tea drinks β’ creative pastries β’ helpful staff Tried the Guava Pillow on a staff recommendation and loved every sip. Itβs a coffee soda topped with guava foam (light, bubbly, slightly tart, and subtly tropical). Visually, itβs beautiful too: it literally looks like a cloud floating on coffee. 5/5

π«Ά Everything feels intentional β from texture to flavor.β Arrived around 9:30 am and snagged the last focaccia. Incredibly soft and airy inside, with a slightly crisp, savory top. Layers of pesto, roasted cherry tomatoes, and a rich eggy filling melted into the bread. Subtle coconut aroma from the oil. Crispy bacon bits added the perfect salty crunch. Guava soda with iced coffee was refreshing. Paired with salt bread, it was top-tier. Bring your own bag and clean up. Eco-conscious vibe. Definitely coming back. βEverything feels intentional β from texture to flavor.β

Absolutely delightful coffee, matcha, and baked goodies! This adorable little coffee shop always has a giant line, but I can absolutely see why β the coffee is rich and nutty, either on its own, in a classic espresso drink, or mixed with one of their delightful Asian-inspired syrups. They have some of the best matcha beverages in the city, and I am consistently impressed by their selection of classic and Asian-inspired pastries. Everything is available between opening and when theyβre sold out, and they definitely run out of the exciting, house-made pastries β like their ube salt bread, kimchi furikake chorizo scones, or sesame toffee chocolate chip cookies β quite quickly, so you have to get there early if you want to indulge. I usually try to arrive within an hour or two of them opening if I want one of their delicious Asian-inspired pastries, but itβs absolutely worth the early morning trek. I especially love their salt bread, which is super buttery and pillowy, and it has a great balance of salty vs. sweet. I also love their more classic pastries that they got from another bakery for later arrivals. The millet muffin is my go-to β itβs not overly sweet, has a great grainy textu
